Hunter Safety
Paul Berry stated that there will be running deer shoots on 9/4 from 6-9; 9/8 from 8-4 and 9/9 from 8-3. They do not use the pistol range, just the patterning range.  Nothing at archery range either.  Must register with the NH Fish and Game on-line registration.  Should be able to register sometime in the middle of June.

Kids Fishing Day
Mark said we are moving along and going well.  Anyone interested in helping out that day please come on down between 6:00-6:30 a.m.  Lou will find out when the fish will be delivered.

Pack 859
Their overnight will be on 7/20-7/21.  They know there is orientation that weekend and the range officers will need the club from 8:30 to 11:30 on Sunday.  That’s ok as they will be across the street.

Dam Info
Mark stated that the beavers are active and he is talking with the State to see if a trapper can’t come in and take care of the problem.

National Wildlife Federation
Nothing new.  If anyone is interested in representing the club, please see someone on the Executive Board.  Club has two votes at meetings. Meetings are held in Concord.

Range Usage

Rife Range – there were 82 shooters, 4 guests and 19 range officer visits. Changed target 3. No suggestions in suggestion box.

Pistol Range – there were 140 shooters, 19 guests and 21 range officer visits. Changed targets 1-8. No suggestions in suggestion box.

Skeet – there were 75 shooters, (63 members, 12 non-members) 186 rounds and shot 4,650 clays.  $581.50 from members and $88.00 from non-members for a total of $669.50.

Mark asked if there were enough targets. Clarence mentioned that an order was just placed.

Skeet

Skeet is going fine. Machines are working ok. Dave worked and repaired them.  Crowds are thick as much as the black flies are. Dave scored a 16 foot awning for the clubhouse to put over the deck for free, can’t beat the cost.  Usually noon to nine on Tuesdays, non stop. Saturday – nine a.m. and generally out by one p.m. Last Saturday out by eleven thirty a.m. Shooting trap and skeet, both Tuesday and Saturday.  No trouble with trap thrower. Still have plenty of stash. Dave’s Dad goes on Tuesday.  Dave had an inquiry from someone who wants to use the skeet club on Columbus Day weekend. Asked if we rented guns?  We will have to see if this person can get someone to rent him guns. Doubtful.

Clarence – March – 62 shooters, 158 rounds, 3,950 clays

April – 86 shooters, 232 rounds and 5,800 clays

Website/Facebook.

She put a reminder up that the club would be closed from May 21st to 25th for the rest of the fence installation.  She has also put up a notice about Kids Fishing Day. Membership has been slowing down. There is always a big push in January.

NH Fish and Game News
Barry was not present – no update.

Range Usage
Rifle Range – 238 members, 19 guests, and 55 range officer visits. No targets changed.

Patterning Range – 4 members.

Pistol – 178 members, 19 guests, 32 range officer visits and targets 7 and 8 were changed.  Metal chain link was replaced for lighter plastic coated metal chain in hopes that people will use it. Ed Robinson said the chain is always an issue and is always on the ground. He asked Rose to put a reminder on the website to use the safety chain.  Also, there will be a red line in back of each station at the pistol and rifle range for safety reasons.

Other News:

There was a discussion regarding when to have orientations in November, December and January, because of the holiday schedule.  There will be no orientation in November, but there will be orientation on December 1st.  Think that December 29th will be good as well.

Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
