Motion to accept minutes from Bob Chase, seconded by Barry Carr. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s report was read and accepted: Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read made by Dave Smith, seconded by Lou Mattia. Motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS – Rudy will be creating a Membership committee to work on the new member application. The membership committee will consist of Rudy, Leann, Barry, Rose, Ernie and Mark. We need to define a process for onboarding and the committee will handle that. Once this is completed, it will be presented as a recommendation to the Board of Directors.

Barry did ask who the Club’s Attorney is. It is Paul Monzione, he practices out of Wolfeboro, MA, CA.

There were quite a few questions about the attorney, what he handles as well as the insurance policy and what that covers. The Attorney will be present at the next Board of Director’s meeting to answer any and all questions.

Charlie Ek volunteered to review the insurance policy and make any recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding what the policy states. He will be able to assist with explaining what the policy covers. However, will not be giving any legal advice. This is just to assist with understanding the policy better.

Rose brought up that we should have a Certification of Insurance for the website.

A question was brought up asking if we are still affiliated with the NRA. No one was able to answer that and that must be looked into.

We received a card from Wildlife Heritage Foundation of NH thanking the Club for our support.

We also received a letter from the New Durham Food Pantry for our donation.

A club member’s grandson submitted a letter stating he was interested in going to Camp Barry. He is the only applicant. His name is Cameron Yates, 11 years old and he is in 6th grade. He is heavily active. He is an avid fisherman and a Boy Scout. He is interested in attending Camp Berry for their Fishing Week on July 9th-14th. He has never attended. He is looking forward to learning about fly fishing and tying flies.

Motion to send Cameron Yates to Camp Berry on July 9th-14th, 2017 was made by Mark Fuller, seconded by Lou Mattia. Motion passed.

A phone call was placed to Ernie and Rose from the Rochester Elk’s. They are interested in using our facility for their Fishing Derby in May. The general consensus is that they may come in and speak with us but May is out due to our Kid’s Fishing Day. There was a comment that this has come up before because they do not want to pay to fish in Somersworth. It was rejected when it came up before.

Charlie did mention that it would be worth calling the insurance agent and asking if there is any difficulty to allow another company to use our property.

Barry stating that we should be reviewing all of our financials. If not every year, then every two. If someone were to come after us, they would attack our financials. We are not large enough to be required to have an audit but it is a good idea.

Orientation went well in 2016, stated Ed. There was a total of 8 people they were unable to connect with. All dates for orientation are set for 2017. There will be no orientation in March. Ed motioned that the club purchase a Wildlife calendar for 2017 as well as a new clock that represents what we stand for. Wayne seconded that motion. Motion passed. Ed will be taking care of this.

Every Officer and Director has been asked if they will run for their positions again. If their are any nominations, they should be brought up at the next member meeting. The annual meeting will be March 29th, 2017.

MEMBERSHIPS – 1101, new 25, total 1126.

Motion to accept members as read by Bob Chase, seconded by Dave Smith.

Rose and Barry voted against accepting the new members due to the fact that we do not vet anybody. Rudy abstained from voting.

SKEET – Going just great. No controversies at all. All we do is shoot things. Dave had a long conversation with the White Flyer Corporation for ways of getting clay pigeons. Walmart is not going to last long. We can buy a tractor trailer load and they will deliver, that consists of 24 pallets but we must have a forklift on site. Another option is they deliver 22 pallets with a lift gate, but we have no where to store 22 pallets. The last option is a box truck with a lift gate will deliver 6 pallets. This option is only less than a penny more per bird than what we paid at Walmart. Since we can only store 10 pallets at a time, the last option will work. We may have to invest in a ramp to get the pallets into the storage trailer, but Dave will find out. The lead time for the delivery is 6 weeks. This way, we can empty a container and order more without running out because the houses can store 4 pallets at a time. 6 pallets will last about 4 months. Generally, we go through 10-15 pallets a year, all depends on the year. There is an additional fee of $7 per pallet for a deposit.

Barry mentioned that committees are starting to form. There is a lot of stuff coming up this year. Everyone should call their representatives as they respond to numbers.
